BANGALORE wins by three runs.
A weird game - The Deccan chargers held Banglaore to just 156 - with some fantastic bowling from RP Singh - only Jaffer and Kohli making any real runs. You would think that to win that Bangalore would have to bowl out the team from Hyderabad or at least take more wickets than they lost - right? Wrong!
Hyderabad lost just six wickets but still fell three runs short of the modest Bangalore total - what's more they had two batsmen - Luxman and Sharma - making 50's. Where they fell down were that these were not particularly fast 50's in this form of the game and the big hitters they were supposed to bat around - the likes of Gilchrist, Gibbs and Afridi - all failed again which meant no fast runs were not forthcoming.
The Bangalore bowlers were magnificent - especially Praveen Kumar and Zaheer Khan.
The win puts Bangalore mid table and with an opportunity to go on - the loss for the Deccan Chargers means the tournament favourites are in real trouble now of missing the finals.
