May 4th 2008 15:31
DELHI 5/191 (Gambhir 86, Sehwag 24, Dharwan 50 - Steyn 1/29, Kallis 2/39)
BANGALORE 5/181 (Kallis 54, Dravid 38, Boucher 30no - McGrath 4/29 Vettori 1/19)
DELHI wins by 10 runs
Well the top order of Delhi keep on firing in this competition and making solid runs Gambhir, Sehwag and Dharwan were all in the runs again as the Daredevils made a highly competitive total of 191 for 5.
In the chase Bangalore did well with Kallis making a fifty to go with his two wickets in a great all round effort and Dravid was back in the runs. While there was some late order hitting from the reliable Mark Boucher Bangalore fell short by just ten runs.
They would have got the runs easy if not for the tight bowling of Kiwi Danny Vettori and the amazing Glen McGrath. The Australian legendary speedster took a staggering 4/29 and has bowled absolutely brilliantly in this tournament - retiring from international competition hasn't dampened his competitive edge and he is using the big stage of the IPL to show off his wares. He was a worthy man of the match winner
