GAME 3 - Delhi Daredevils v Rajasthan Royals
April 20th 2008 14:10
RAJASTHAN 8/129 (Jadeja 29, Warne 26, Watson 21 - McGrath 1/21 Maharoof 2/11)
DELHI 1/132 (Gambir 58, Sehwag 12, Darwan 52 - Watson 1/31)
DELHI WON BY 9 WICKETS with 29 balls to spare
The first low scoring game of the competition. The Rajasthan Royals batted first and lost constant wickets to the miserly Delhi bowling attack. Glen McGrath might have retired from international cricket but he's still got it. He has backed up by some excellent bowling from Maharoof, Bhatia and Vettori.
It was never going to be enough for Shane Warne's men and despite some reasonable bowling Delhi only lost one wicket in the chase with Indian youngsters Gambir and Darwan seeing the team home.
A great start for the Delhi Daredevils and its good to see the game isn' being totally domintaed by the bat.
