GAME 5 - Mumbai Indians v Bangalore Royal Challengers
April 21st 2008 20:57
MUMBAI 6/165 (Uthappa 48, Jayasuria 29, Pollock 28 - Z Khan 2/17 B Akhil 2/17)
BANGALORE 5/166 (Dravid 32, Kallis 25, Boucher 39 - Harbhajan 2/36)
BANGALORE WON by 5 Wickets with 2 balls to spare
Another game that went down to the wire. Not a huge scoring affair courtesy of some good bowling by Zaheer Khan. Solid middle order knock by Uthappa was bookended with some top and lower order fireworks from veteran stagers Jayasuria and Pollock.
Bangalore managed to get their batting act together after their woeful start at home to Kolkata in the first game. Admittedly they were chasing a far more modest total which allowed Dravid and Kallis to play their natural games and leave it for some typical late order hitting from the reliable dynamo Mark Boucher who just got them over the line with two balls to spare.
So Bangalore are on the scoreboard
