Rajasthan has become the first team to qualify for the Indian Premier League finals. They did it again on the back of a fine all round performance from the team and from Shane Watson who is proving to be one of the stars of this competition.
Watson took 2 for 21 along with fine bowling from Trivdei and the debutante Englishman Mascarenhas limited the previously unstoppable Delhi batting line up to 156 for 7. Sehwag made 31 at the top of the order and if it wasn't for some late order hitting from Maharoof, 39, then Delhi would have made an embarrassing total.
As it was it wasn't enough especially in the wake of Watson's 74 with the bat. Thing got close at the end and there was some fine bowling from Maharoof and Sehwag in some good individual all round performances. The man of the match went to Watson for his feats with bat and ball.
Rajasthan have now qualified for the finals but will wan to keep up the momentum. Delhi are now stuck mid table and will fight with Punjab, Chennai and Kolkata for the other 3 finals places
