GAME 6 - Rajasthan Royals v Kings XI Punjab

April 23rd 2008 04:30

PUNJAB 8/166 (Yuvraj 57, Hopes 26 Chawla 24 - Warne 3/19 Trevedi 2/25)

RAJASTHAN 4/167 (Watson 76no , Jadeja 36no- Lee 1/35 Pathan 1/19)

Rajasthan won by 4 wickets with 6 balls to spare.

A legend of the game in a legendary performance. Shane Warne bowled the Rajasthan into this game with a superb performance. His mesmerising legspin captured three of the top order and kept the score down to 166. It is plainly obvious that Warne could still be playing cricket at the top international level.

Another blonde headed Shane in the form of Queensland allrounder Shane Watson finished the job for Rajasthan with some power hitting to get them over the line. His 76 not out was ably supported by an unbeaten 36 from Jadeja.

The unfancied Rajasthan look competitve and capable of giving this competition a shake even though they were the cheapest franchise and spent the least on players.
