There is one more player auction to go before the teams are finalised

We are about to profile the teams but before we can...
There is one final player auction to be concluded. Most of the franchises spent the vast amount of their salary cap in the first auction - the team that spent the least was the Jaipur Rajasthan Royals. Their decision to spend only US$2.9million means that they will have the chance to buy two handy Queensland allrounders in James Hopes and Shane Watson - Hopes in particular would be a great pick up given his gutsy innings in the second final that got Australia almost in a position to pinch the game. He has been touted as a possibility to take Adam Gilchrist's spot at the top of the Australian one day batting order.
Stay tuned to this blog for full covereage of the results of the second player auction, the rookie player auction and then for the full profile of each team.
